food > everything. If you have a limited budget throw the money into more food, nothing will ever come close to food. If I'm ever going to have to chose between an extra meal and a protein shake I will always take the food without a second thought. If you want to get as big as possible and feel strong focus on eating chicken and rice. Every time I have a carb load day I eat 5 meals consisting o0f chicken, rice, potatoes and a cheat meal before I go to sleep. You will always feel great and strong while you are full with carbs,I hate training carb depleted,I have no strength,I feel like shit all day long,my workouts suffer severely and so on. As for the supplement part creatine and protein shakes, that's it,the rest are useless trash. I have trained with a couple of guys who compete and have insane physiques. Apart from the fact that they are on two or three different compounds ( talking about steroids ) they don't really take too many supplements, food gets the job done, sure you can take supplements, but it's more or less for the placebo effect.

I edited the post.

Chicken
Rice
Throw some spaghetti in there as well
Drink a shit ton of water
Creatine is useful for water retention as well but don't expect some insane difference

then

Fish when you're trying to cut. Talapia and broccoli + white rice to load if you want to suddently "pop" if you want to look ripped and full for a specific day. Like the guys who compete do,they deplete completely then the day before the competition they carb load and the body looks great the next day on stage, the muscle starts to "pop",meaning you're not flat anymore and the muscle has shape and is bigger in size.

Like for example I have a ectomorph bodytype with a little bit of mesomorph for certain bodyparts and muscle building ability. I have to say I'm sort of a mix.

I always aim for muscle mass but I never get above the 8-10 % bodyfat level and go as down as 6% if I really want to,like for the summer,I usually like to sit at about 7% since it's the perfect balance for me,I don't lose too much muscle mass and I still feel good,I can eat okay and my workouts don't suffer. As soon as I want to go to 6% or less I fail,my mind kicks in and I start to fuck it up,I'm afraid of losing muscle mass and I can't progress anymore and I fuck it up so I'm always at ~7%.

Naturally I've always had a great back + shoulders and bicep but my legs and triceps tend to lag if I don't train them well enough, chest is okay. Small waist and big back,I never had issues building a strong V taper but always struggled to have big arms until I started to maul them twice a week, legs were never really great and I doubt they ever will.

I always aimed and always will aim for a eye pleasing physique, great V taper with a small waist, that's the way to go,not the fucking pregnant dudes that think they're great cause they bench 200kgs but look like a walking heart attack.

My best stats to these days were ~80kgs at 1.80m with ~7-8% bodyfat. Right now I'm taking a good solid break since work fucked it up for me,motivation wise and time wise,I don't really eat anymore as I used to and I can't train properly,so I took a break and I'll take a good break until I can come back strong somewhere after the summer after I'll be done with my current job.

So yeah, you have to think and imagine what kind of physique you want and start to train and split your workouts for it but I'm sure you already know what to do training wise,as for the diet, like I said, eat A LOT. Fuck the supplements. If you do consider steroids,I'm not going to say no,Just be sure you know what to do and what compounds to take, make sure you're willing to take the risk as they come with a certain risk, everything has a price, and every body reacts differently to certain compounds, what might work great for me with absolutely no side effects now or in the long run might completely fuck you up,honestly,I never took them,I've been tempted many times but never took the extra step,I suppose I don't need them to get where I want. I mean yeah sure, they work like magic, getting a godlike physique now and paying the price later on,not sure if it's worth it. Look at Lazar Angelov , dude always claimed he was natty, now his joints are completely destroyed, they are damaged to the point where he can't even move his arms without elbow pain, that was caused by winstrol, winstrol eats your joints. He wasn't even cycling the winstrol, dude was taking it year round

Then you're good, try to find out how many calories your body needs to sustain your current muscle mass and how much your body needs to build more.

Has anyone here had surgery to correct a deviated septum? I googled it, did some research, but hearing some more thoughts on the matter never hurts.

Metabolism differences are very small between people. You most likely eat less than you think you eat in calories which is why you are "naturally slim", there pretty much isn't a "natural slim" or "natural fat", it all comes down to how many calories you burn in comparison to how many you consume. "genetics and cundishuns" are fatlogic.

its just i never felt gluttonous before unless i did a lot of physical work, and whenever i get a small belly or something i could burn it down within couple of weeks of not eating too much.

I lost around 17kg, from 94 to 77. Diet and exercise. Don;t get me wrong, I did not eat only lettuce, nope, I eat WHOLE HEALTHY FOODS. That's the key, and I try to keep the 3 proportion. 1/3 of the plate protein (meat), 1/3 carbs (rice/potatoes), 1/3 veggies.

How Radu said, it's about calories and the quality of those calories :)

Now, that I try to build muscle mass, I increased my caloric bar, I switched from 0% yogurt to 2% Greek yogurt (30kcal to 260 kcal), increased my meal size, I eat once at 2-3 hours, full meals and mini-meals.

As for supplements:
1. Dextrose - basically carbs in form of suggar that get absorbed into the body really fast
2. 95% Whey protein
3. Multivitamins

The first 2 I eat like this:
First time in the morning and right after the workout. The reason I combine them is that this way you get the protein into the system really fast.
So far, this worked for me, I've seen progress.

A valuable resource for me is bodybuilding.com. They have nutritional and workout help, like, a lot!
