Jails are for various criminals, I'm pretty sure that cold blooded killers and mass murderers are only a small fraction of the inmates.

Self defense or defending someone I care about.. those are the only reasons that could force me to take another human's life. We (europeans) are supposed to be more civilised than africans for example but police still uses real ammo when the situation is bad. I'm not supporting the protesters way of violence, but it makes me wonder how bad living in that country is that made those people fight against trained and much better geared forces that, in normal times, are designed to serve and protect the same citizen which are being shot at now.
