And the idiots just left him to go on with it?

Oh , morons were politically correct and did not assault an inhabilitated person, how cute and fuzzy.
This is funny because there's 10 like him in every city in Romania.

Dunno where I've heard this, but it made terrible good sense, but a good writer is not afraid to kill off good characters. That won't mean I won't be shocked and probably mad too about it in the future tho.

Dunno about you guys but some of my favorite works ever are depressing, desolate tragedies. I'm used to the shit that constantly happens in GoT but killing off characters, while cool, isn't enough to make the series interesting for me.

They have to die without hope, with all their dreams shattered and with the sound notion that everything they will ever amount to is decided not by fate but the insignificant blip they can try to make on history, there and now. That's when their decisions start to actually matter and the characters get both depth and impact.

I've outgrown the old "hero gets the girl, saves the world and lives happily ever after" type of fairy tales long ago. And by that I mean when I was in kiddie grade and was reading old fairy tales.

A nice comicbook depiction of the scene as it was in the book, a bit less violent death for oberyn and a bit more strategic fighting from him. Good episode.

Well to be completely honest, Oberyn completed his mission, he got the confession, his arc was done, his retribution was fulfilled.

Nothing spectacular is going to happen related to that, just a small detail so it's not a spoil.
