Brugak was an OL in what clan(s)?
Fear clan I think, and after that he made an omegewtfpwnSPS with whom I had a sort of CP at one point, and yes on TS he seemed like a funny guy. That game sure bring the dark side out of some ppl, cursing and flaming on pm/forums, in RL being quite decent folks.

tell me a game based on competition that doesn't do that to people
Competition doesn't do that to you, when you are at a sporting event you don't tell to your competitors that you wish their mothers got cancer. Being under anonymity and not suffering consequnces for what you say and do does that to people.

Hello,

How Cezar pointed out some time ago, I also consider you my family and I'd like to share with you my happiest moment in life, so far. Sys (Simona) and I got engaged on the 29th of July.

The story started about 6 years ago, while playing on DEX. We crossed paths on one of the many clans that existed on the server. We started talking beacause that was the only thing we could do, given the distance, Iasi-Brasov. After a while Sys/Simo decided to pay me a visit and this way we saw eachother in real life. After 2-3 months, Simo decided that she will leave her job in Iasi and move here in Brasov. At first (2 years or so) we did not live together but after that I started spending more time at her place and finally, in February last year, we moved together.

This year, during our vacation through Czech Republic, in Prague, to be more specific, I got the nerv and proposed to her. I had it all planned out to happen on a bridge (Charles Bridge). It was already dark outside, not too much light from the street lights but enough to make it romantic, at least from my pov. Finally, we got to the middle of the bridge, I mention that I was shaking like a leaf in the wind, I kneeled and started saying that I cherish every moment with her and I'd like her to be my wife and the reason I picked that particullar spot is that I'd like it to represent the connection we had though we had a great distance between us. She started crying and said YES !!!

Bellow you can find a picture of us and the place where it all happened.

Sorry for the ones that are not interested but I felt the need to share my happiest moment with you guys!

-> hockey fights

-> deliberate faults in football, fights with the refferee etc

-> fights between supporters/fans of different teams

Competition does that to people, it's the root of the problem. And not just sports competition, getting competitive in general, having something to prove that would confirm your intelligence and so on. Anonimity just removes inhibitions.

Online forms of sports are also more personal and there's an interesting phenomenon that happens. Imagine you're playing football with your experienced (though not professional) team of people against a team of 14 year olds, and they fucking steamroll you in typical 14 year old fashion, laughing at your team/calling you losers etc. You WOULD want to kick their shitty little heads in.

Congratulations man. Awesome spot for a proposal, too.

Well congrats to the both of you. I remember Sys had a BD at one point. Can't recall if the char was in EK or another clan ... Vic i think u were some sort of human warrior, Paladin?
Anyway congrats to teh both of you.

Game based on competition that doesn't bring out your inner-asshole? If you mean pc games ... Stracraft for one. Players are civil for the most part. Guild Wars 2, although not that competitive, has also got quite a friendly player-base.

Thank you guys for all the kind words!

Indeed, Sys was a BD but not in EK she played with Relax and Miho in TO. I was a SK, played in EK, in the era when tallman was cl, then I moved to Crank, where I made real life friends. This game was an awesome influence to my life.
