Problem with exynus is that Samsung doesn't release it's source code. Making custom roms for it is a pain in the ass. My next phone has to have at least a snapdragon 810 64 bits. Till then note 3 LTE it is.

Hardware-wise the market has plateaued. Only small improvements appear. The most demanding games can be played with last year's mid-range devices with no problem. I hope the manufacturers start developing the batteries more. Sony even said that it's pointless to make 1440 screens to drain the battery more for no noticeable gains whatsoever and that they prefer to make better batteries and keep their phones 1080p. That + their minimalist Android skin makes me like them a lot.

Improvements on the SoC can also save alot of battery. Plus android L will bring alot of improvements regarding battery saving. Still the screen is the main battery drain so I do agree that screens are not what we should be improving now, though AMOLED screens are really good to save battery when using blacks.

And Sony sucks when it comes to updates so I wouldn't touch their phones... never. G3 and Note 3 (soon note 4) are still the battery duration/specs kings.

That's why I'm getting the g3. Sadly I'll probably get the 2gb ram version,I don't give a damn about the stupid flash storage,16 gb is enough for any future OS update if I'll ever need one. I wanted 3gb ram. I wonder if I can manually add 1 more GB

Lol ofc you can't. And just from apps installed I have 19 GB occupied and 8 GB music on the SD plus a full backup of the firmware and efs partition (just in case)

Maybe now. Haven't payed much attention to Sony lately. But I got burned few years ago when I had an Xperia and receives 0 updates.

Yeah they did suck when it came to updates in the past. And not just because of updates, lots of things sucked about them. I guess we'll see how the Z3 line will fare along the way, especially after android L is out to be able to judge if Sony really stepped up their game.

Why not?I did not look into it,is the ram soldered on the motherboard? ( I tend to forget it's a phone and not a pc lel ) . And I was saying 16gb is enough since I can use a SD card if I want storage. I don't bother with phone modding and rooting anymore. I just want the damn phone cause it looks beautiful,otherwise I wouldn't even get it

Looks like my old nexus S. To be honest the only thing I'm looking forward to from Motorola is the moto 360. If it's priced at 250 euros here in the NL I might consider buy one as my own birthday gift.

lolmotorola? Historically, telecommunications pioneer. Today, reformed by Google with cheap, quality phones that sport pure android with the fastest updates after Nexus.

My 900 RON Motorola opens apps faster than my friend's 1700 Ron HTC one. So it also has that going for it.

MP doesn't mean better quality. What matters is the sensor, MP is just the size of the final photo.

Yeah and it does make slightly better photos with that ultra pixel crap. Still, it's inaccurate to say that it has more MP.

It's all the same crap. 8 MP or 13 MP is the same shit for me. For photos I bought a DSLR, a Canon eos 1100d that has 12.2 MP and pisses on the pics from my NOTE 3 that has 13 MP. If you want good photos get a DSLR, if you want something that can just catch the moment then get any smartphone, be it apple, Samsung, HTC or even Motorola. For sure I don't base my decisions when it comes to smartphones on the MP of the photos.

well you can't really compare a DSLR to a phone camera,it MAY be comparable in absolutely perfect light conditions to some degree,but I wouldn't get my hopes too high even then
