In high-school there was a surprise test after the holidays. Prof told us to write about "traditions and customs", assuming we all had a countryside relatives' house (where these things are commonplace) and went there.

I had no such thing, stayed home all winter, and knew jack shit about romanian traditions and customs. So I decided instead of trying to write some half-assed essay praising the traditions I barely knew, I'd write an honest piece with my opinion of them. I didn't like them, didn't care about them, and didn't respect them.

I got a 2 and a public humiliation which consisted of the prof reading the first part of my essay out loud and laughing his ass off, prompting the class to laugh as well.

In higschool, we got to write a lot about stuff like that. Our English teacher would give us essays as homework, at the end of almost every class. (mostly opinion essays; she'd pick a topic and we had to comment on it) Cool thing about her was that she was ok with you trashing a generally accepted concept (such as customs and traditions) as long as you did it in proper English and had some degree of decency in going about it. One of the best teachers I had.

Is anyone here still playing ArchAge? If so, did it become boring over time or dou you still enjoy playing it? I would imagine it's not that repetitive, since it seems to have quite a lot of things available for the player to do, but I haven't played a lot due to my crappy PC. I wanna know if it's worth spending a couple of hours a day to play it in the long run.

I'm still playing.. a lot. I like it and it didn't get boring so far. There are some repetitive things you have to do, you kinda have to grind for gear, but you don't have to do that all the time, so it's ok.
