I liked Half-Life 1 a bit more than 2. It was soooo immersive at it's time. So was HL2, but I didn't get that same exact feeling.

The locale's already ro. Just in case, I try re-selecting it. It says the app doesn't have permission and to download some .zip folder to my computer and run a .bat with the tablet connected. I do all that and it says it failed because I don't have a driver.

*shrug*
Meh. Probably you need root on the tablet before being able to use locale app. Seems you're out of luck.

HL2 was good, but it had its problems. Judging it as a game, it was a very influential milestone in game development, but it was far from the best story, best gameplay or best atmosphere. Or best character interaction.

I think I rate Deus Ex higher than HL2 overall actually. You could read paragraphs from books in that game. Let me paste one of them here:

Jacob looked at her and watched all the regret drain from her eyes. She tossed the empty revolver onto the body next to her, the gun in her other hand never moving an inch from a point that Jacob guessed was just above the bridge of his nose.

"You don't have to do this. It doesn't have to be like this."

"Oh, yes... yes, I'm afraid that it does."

He slowly shook his head. The window cracked and for a moment it sounded as if a wasp had buzzed through the room - then a dull thud as her body dropped to the floor. Blood poured from the cavity that had been her skull, a wide black pool that spread like a shadow in the darkness.

Jacob knelt and rubbed his fingers in her blood. Monk never missed with a sniper rifle. Not ever.
It's not a real book. Someone wrote this excerpt from a book to be used in the game, without writing the whole book. It's a small fragment of a universe that never was, but whose depth and size we create with our own minds. Basic world-building, but so very effective.

First game I really got into was Warcraft 3. Loved the lore; still do. I hope they make that movie based on W3 lore. (W3 including DOTA)
MU, Lineage II were games that I also enjoyed a lot.
WoW as well, mostly for the storyline and fun quests. (up to the Wrath of the Lich King expansion)
I did not play HalfLife, just a bit of CS.

Didn't like Guild Wars 1 that much. Thought I'd give GW2 a chance ... was ok, but didn't get hooked. Idk, the community in GW2 is nowhere near as awesome as the one in Lineage 2 was. (oddly enough, the community in L2Dex was better than on retail; perhaps because there were fewer people, which made the drama much more fun :D)

Also liked DragonAge and DeusEx. I forgot about it till Shade brought it up. Was a game I really enjoyed. It's probably one of the very few games I replayed once i had finished it.
I'm looking forward to playing LostArk, Lineage Eternal and ArchAge.

If u guys intend to play some MMO or online stuff like LostArk, LineageEternal, ArcheAge bla bla, pls post here. Maybe we can put together some groups or a guild or sorts.

My first game is a bit harder to track. I played bootleg consoles (NES) before I played PC games, and I played on a friend's PC before I played on mine. First video game I played was probably Solitaire on a work PC. Mario on console. Tarzan on my own PC (or maybe it was Virtual Cop 2, I have no clue), and I have no idea what I played on my friend's PC.

Console games weren't so great for me, oddly enough. PC games tho? Fuck yes. First game that absolutely floored me was indeed Half-Life.

I will be playing lost ark once it gets released. But I will only be able to play a few hours / night . Probably from 8 or 9 pm to ~ 12. Let's say 4 hours / night and a little bit more during the weekend. Welcome adult life
In other news! It looks like Denuvo has been cracked by 3DM

Is Lost Ark going to have the same sort of "multiplayer" like Diablo 3? (which, in reality, hasn't got multiplayer, just some sort of co-op)

Well it's a MMO,so no,diablo was just a RPG with co-op,no real multiplayer/pvp.Watch that 20 minute video, you'll see what the game offers. It has a gazillion of instances but the game is open world. Just like lineage,WoW,etc

@Shade pretty good memory,I only remember a few pc games I've played on my first pc. One of them was Hercules and Caesar? Not sure, haha

First PC game I ever played was The Curse of Monkey Island, when my parents bought me my first computer. I was 9 or 10 years old and it was the first night I didn't sleep to play on the computer. Abe's Odyssey was also installed and played. I remember how the executable was called: abewin.exe
