Sometimes. It depends on what you do, how close it is to what you like to do and what people you work with.

Personally, my job is "fine", I mean I'm not complaining about the exact things I do, they're pretty cool. I also have good work conditions, but I hate a couple of people I work with, the "elders", they're a bunch of old cocalars with too much power.


IMPORTANT

Your first week there will basically decide how your coworkers will see you for a very long time. Make a good impression. Know when you can joke around with them and don't allow anyone to take you for a fool. They WILL try it, identify it when it happens and just give them a crisp look. Don't give too much personal information about yourself, only the bare necessities.

Socialize with your coworkers, be legitimately interested in what they tell you about themselves. The more you know about them and the lesser they know about you, the better. But don't go into the extreme of being too shady either.
