Yes. It was among the first "shit you didn't know about Game of Thrones" type of articles released. But in my opinion, although I like the character she impersonates in the series (which I've also heard does not exist in the GoT books), she's fugly. Really fugly.

She's in the book also, all chars from the series are. They could have chosen a better looking Cersei imo, the actress is okish but she was supposed to have more sex-appeal (and perhaps bigger boobs). Overall the actors are top-notch and they do a great job in portraying the chars from the books.

I have a very close friend who's in-love with Cersei. Both the book and the film-character. I find her blatantly psycho and with 15 year-old behaviour. Basically a 30 something year-old spoiled brat. By no means is she portraying an "iron queen", but the actress is doing her job very well although I don't like her looks.

Aside for Tywin Lannister, Margery's grandma, Tyrion and the guy playing The Hound, I think she'd be the next best actress on the entire set.

Spoiler alert: She isn't supposed to be an iron queen, in her pov chapters she is really shown for what she is: an insecure going-paranoid middleaged woman who is trying really hard to be close to power in a patriarchal society and failing to do so horribly.

Rob's wife from the series isn't in the book. It's a completely different char in the book, also the character in the book is taken prisoner with the heir to the throne of winterfell in her womb, not brutally murdered at TRW.
