Do you guys enjoy going to work? I mean, I think it's something common to dislike your job, right?
I ..I... I FUCKING HATE MINE! but hey... it pays well and I'm not going to stay here forever. Life didn't start here and it sure as hell won't end here,I like to think it like a game, where you farm till you reach your goal and then have fun. I already planned my ... time that I will spend here. I would love to push for two years but I'll probably quit in a year and a half. The job is challening, tiresome and so on,but the ONE THING that I hate is that I have to work 6 days a week,If I had to work Monday - Friday I wouldn't give a tenth of a fuck. But when I have to work six days 12h per day It's too much. I'll stay here until I get everything I want and save some money then I'll look for one that I have to work Monday - Friday. Probably a desk job. I don't care if it pays less,as long as it gets me by it's ok.

Is saturday officially counted as a normal workday or can you sometimes skip it? At my first job, saturday wasn't officially worked but we worked about 2 saturdays a month. You didn't *have* to go but you wouldn't exactly gain any sympathy if you skipped it.

Well,it's ...unofficial I guess, you don't HAVE to but you must, kinda fucked up,you don't sign for it in the contract, you sign for 21 days of work, but 90% of the work projects are 6 days in a row. Thing is,it counts as overtime, and if you get 175% per hour when you are working 12 hours per day,it kinda goes up to ...3 days of work. 8h/day. There's also the per diem that adds up everything you work away from the city or outside the country,we get 45 RON for every day outside the city and 50 EUR / day ( including off work days) when you are out of the country. All the nordic countries pay 50 EU per day and the rest of EU pays 45 / day. In total, next month when I'll get assigned for a project somewhere out of the country I will be getting 1550 EUR / month + 500 EUR base sallary + Overtime. I'll make about 2.5k EUR / month. We work in rotations,90% of the time we get a 8 week rotation which works like this.
>You are assigned to a project
>You leave for 8 weeks
>you come back for 2 weeks as vacation ( no work )
>you go back 8 weeks

Rinse and repeat until the project ends and you are assigned to a new project. If you stay at home you only get the base sallary which is 500 EUR / month. Ain't that bad. Not working and getting 500 eur is ok.

The time for first impressions has long since passed. Been working here for 10 months.
Boss is cool. The other colleague's kind of a dick. Work I do ... meh, not into it. It's ok I guess, but I don't really like it. It got better with time, I got the hang of it, but I still don't look forward to going to work. Only satisfaction I have is when I land a big client. (even that gets taken away sometimes since the client might be "handed over" to the guys from the central offices in Bucharest, as if they were the ones who found the client and reeled him in)
Other co-workers are cool. Especially the lady in the next office that has a voice like Chewbacca.
Work is not stressful, if I need to leave before the day is over I usually can. Pay is ok. Somehow I still don't like what I do.
Is it really that fucking hard to find a job that you like and pays well?

PS: cameltoe halep :D

That's how people who aren't internet addicts are. And here's the worst part: they talk about a lot of useless and completely uninteresting things. TV shows, what celebrities do, the weather, sports, what you would do if you win the lottery - expect a lot of discussions to revolve around these subjects.

You met one typical worker, you met them all.

And the swearing - it's lighthearted, I mean when they tell someone "suck my dick" they say it as an endearment. Nobody minds. However if you're the kind of guy that doesn't use swearing as terms of endearment I noticed that they won't use them with you either. Either that or I made it blatantly obvious that I don't enjoy that kind of talk.

Simply not having unlimited internet all the time on my phone would kill me now. A year ago it was fine with 30mb/month and just wi-fi wherever I had the chance. Now my quality of life would significantly decrease without always being able to access the web. Imagine having an argument with someone, being right and not having internet to prove them wrong. ARGH. Or some drama happening on Facebook and not being able to follow it live - the CIA should use that as torture.

It wouldn't decrease. You'd adapt. I went a month without internet (due to external factors) and I also had this idea that I wouldn't last without internet. I did. To add, I even caught up on my reading.
As for co-workers who swear .... depends. I don't have them. Sure, I also got an asshole or two, but nothing unmanageable. Hardest part for me was not talking back at them when they made snide remarks. (actually there was only one douche who behaved like this; other colleagues were cool) It's hard to contain yourself when u got such good retorts, when the idiot trying to make fun of you can't even speak properly ... but hey, you adapt. Although one day I probably won't be able to help myself and I'll tell that idiot colleague of mine how to properly use "decat" and "doar" and that some adjectives, such as "wrong" or "right" are non-gradable.
The lottery stuff, yea. I even started playing after I got hired at this job :)). Stopped a month ago when i noticed I spend 80 lei/month on lotto tickets.

So this is what I'm going through right now, ever since I got this new job. Metathesiophobia . I've always loved the routine, and now seeing that everything is changed,I have almost no time left,I'm undecided as to what I should do with my life,I can't even think of a job that I would like,I've been used to being "free" all my life and now..it's,don't know,it doesn't feel right at all,I constantly feel depressed and anxiety kicks in. Kinda sucks how everyone is going on their own path, friends, relatives and so on,I don't like it,not one bit. I'm used to seeing everyone everyday, knowing they are all here in the same city, with no obligations and so on. Maybe I'll snap out of it,but I really don't feel alright. I Don't really know what I'm supposed to do,I can't just quit the job like that.. I guess I need a job that allows me to go everywhere I want, whenever I want. I can't think of any other job that I could enjoy, and I also hate "abandoned" places. I could never live outside the city,I only feel good in crowded areas

"This specific phobia can reduce one’s will to live; Metathesiophobes often feel that they have no control over their lives owing to constant changes. S/he tends to live in the past and may also be depressed. Their phobia makes them unwilling to move, to progress or to change anything from routine. This can severely impact one’s professional and personal lives." ... shit.

Just stick to what plan you made and see what happens. Unless you win the lottery you're gonna have to sacrifice huge chunks of your life for work you don't enjoy. It sucks but that's how it is if your dad isn't a CEO.

Try to make the best of the free time you do have.
