I kinda miss my unsocial life and sleepless nights from the L2 times (not). But I won't lie. I kinda miss the L2 PVP.

I don't miss any of it. It only seems I do, because what I really miss is those old times, it's just that I associate them with L2.

And the only reason nostalgia exists is because you more readily forget the negative experiences, which is why the past almost always seemed better.

So in the end I don't miss shit.

To me it still is enjoyable, except it's not new anymore. What I actually miss is the novelty of it all. I miss finding a stick on the ground fascinating and playing with it for 3 hours. I miss the adventure that life was when I went out in the street to play with my friends at 9 in the morning and only returning briefly home to eat dinner after mom was taking me forcefully to have dinner, then returning to my adventures of discovering what life is about until 11 in the evening.

All I miss is the people I used to play with. Everything felt more friendly on dex.

L2, not so much.

So the good news is I found a job

The great news is it's in what I've been preparing for (C# programming, windows forms)

The not so good news is the pay is pretty shit (560~ euro, it's a beginner job but still), no benefits and I can't quit for 4 years if I sign the contract.

What do you guys think? It's in Bucharest, which is why the pay is shit as I'll need to cover rent. It's not bottom-of-barrel and I'm sure lots of people would be fine with this, but it feels like everyone's making more than this

560 euros ... u'd make more than I do, and i've been hired for almost a year. (provided that's your wage after taxation)
That 4 year binding clause is a bitch. If you could negocitate that out of the contract, take the job. Otherwise I'd keep looking.
Everything else is .... close to decent (for Bucharest), except that 4 year shit.
Get rid of that and you're golden.

Btw, this may sound unrealistic, but try finding something you enjoy doing. I don't hate my current job, but it's not in my area of expertise. Had to learn quite a bit of new things. I don't hate it, but I certainly don't like it. Also, if you get interwied by your future boss, try and figure out what kind of person he or she is. Having an understanding boss makes a difference when you're not employed where you'd want to be.

It's literally the first thing the employer started whining about when we talked. Boo hoo people stay for 6 months then quit their jobs.

I'll look at the contract tomorrow and decide. Renegotiating it is worth a shot, but unlikely.
