Well you have a few people here telling you otherwise, hopefully that's enough to instill some healthy skepticism.

I talk to people online, and the women approaching men stories that I hear from both men and women are quite numerous. Sure I'll agree that it's probably skewed in favor of men because we're the aggressive gender after all, but there's plenty of examples to the contrary for it to not qualify as a rule.

I sent the signals but never went the extra mile. Was afraid of rejection.

I'm not into economics. I didn't realize people were shunning entrepreneurs, I never saw them as evil or anything. Profit isn't necessarily a measure of how well a company's servicing its clients, though. US ISPs are the perfect example. When you have a monopoly on something, you make profit regardless of how well you serve people. When you're big enough, you get away with shady business practices that would drive others bankrupt instantly. So it's a bit more complex than that.

And as for the gender approaching argument, I believe men are attracted to women initially based on physique, while women are attracted based on indirect traits such as self-confidence and power. This is the real reason why men hit on women more often, because looks are much easier to discern at first glance. People will hit on other people if they like them, it's just that the "like" is different for men and women.
