check the DUMP file. I forgot what you got,it was an i5 with a h97 board right?

Every time I install the OS it goes like this

OS > Straight to control panel,Disable firewall, antivirus ( yes win 8 has a defender ) and most important of all I will disable the update option . Task schelduler and I disable every idle trigger.

then

GPU Drivers / Sound driver

Easy tune 6 ( Gigabyte board over here so I can tweak the RPM of the fans )
MSI Afterburner + rivatuner,on screen display so I can see the GPU usage/memory usage/GPU temp while I'm in the game and set the gpu fans to auto
Core temp for min max values and real time monitor via CPU Meter widget.

Only after I do these steps I'll start to install everything else
Dunno how to check the dump file, it only has strange symbols. xD Or maybe I opened the wrong thing. I have i5 and a Gigabyte board. No firewall, no autoupdate. The Gigabyte apps were causing my problem. I uninstalled them and it's fine now.

I hate it too, it's time consuming. And I also hate people who suggest to reinstall windows straight away, without even trying to find the real problem...

2 types of things cause BSOD:
1) Drivers how the rest mentioned
2) Hardware failure

I've seen cases where both were the problem, but the most common is the Driver issue.
What HellFire said regarding the order of doing things, I do the same. I also got blue screens but once you find a good driver, you save it and lock it in a vault and keep it till you die, as legacy.

Actually the most common fault of BSOD-ing is a psu failure of some sort.

you always find either USA or UK (or both) in everything that turned to shit in middle east/islamic countries
But the Islamic Revolution was a response to that. It was to undo what the West has done. Sure, you can blame the West for making Iranians want a revolution. But somewhere along the line, someone said "hey, why just a revolution, let's make this an ISLAMIC revolution!" - well, for this, you can only blame the Iranians themselves.

Well, memory leaks can lead to a BSOD also, but for me, personally, I believe the PSU dished out most of them.

Granted, I and my friends haven't really encountered any BSOD's lately so I wouldn't say my info is up to date, but still relevant , for me at least.

4 more days of going to work. And we don't have any work to do for a few days so people found Saint George as a good excuse to bring some țuică at work, I had a couple of shots and a beer at lunch, then slept like 2 hours.
