So last night I took a cab with some friends to return from a bar. The taxi app showed a lady taxi driver name. A bit unusual to see female taxi drivers here, it happens but it's rare. Anyhow, she didn't locate the exact street we were on, she went on an adjacent and it took her like 3 minutes to figure out where we were even though we gave exact street name and number. Obviously, we started cracking jokes about it while assuming she was some hag.
But then she pulled over. A blonde chick in her early 20s. Hot as hell. She talked a lot, but I didn't really listen. I was stupefied because it didn't make sense, in what universe do you find a hot girl driving a cab in Bucharest? Oh well... She was about to ram another taxi with the car (totally her fault, but she was saying that it's his fault).
Anyway, then it kind of started to make sense. Taxi drivers have to pay 90 lei to their employers + buying the gas per work-day, then whatever money they make is theirs. She would make a fuckload of money (at least for something so menial like just driving around) on account of her attractiveness. I mean, if an average taxi driver makes 200 lei in a good day, I bet she would make 4-500 lei easily. That would be a lot of money for such a job which requires no advanced education nor useful skills, all you need is a driver's licence.
